Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a driver who struck and injured a bicyclist Tuesday morning in the town of Verona.

The Dane County Sheriff's Office said 58-year-old man was traveling on his bicycle eastbound on Highway PD near Country View Road at approximately 7:20 a.m., when a blue sedan, possibly a Nissan, clipped the man with the passenger side mirror of the vehicle.

The impact threw the man from his bike, according to the sheriff's office. Witnesses stopped to help him, and he was later taken by EMS to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Anyone with information on the driver or the blue sedan is asked to call the Dane County tip line at 608-284-6900. The vehicle will have visible damage to the passenger side.
