Area teens win regional Emmy for outdoors show

Four talented teens from the area are celebrating an Emmy win this week.

The kids are from Verona, Sun Prairie and Mount Horeb, but their work is seen all over the upper Midwest and online.

"Into the Outdoors" is a show hosted by kids for kids. On the show, the ITO explorers get to learn about science, and do things like visit wetlands and hangout with black bears.

Although it is hard work, Caroline Smith, Josh Busher, Emma Guld and Jacob Connor just won the Outstanding Children?s Teen Series Emmy for their effort.

"'Into the Outdoors' is an educational show where you go and you can talk about a lot of different things that have to do with science and the environment," said Smith.

The kids travel around the state helping showcase the science of the outdoors on their half-hour show.
