Firefighters Respond To Fire At Vacant Home In Blue Mounds | News

A vacant home in the Town of Blue Mounds was found fully engulfed by Dane County Sheriff's Deputies and firefighters late Friday night.

Sheriff's officials said the fire started at the home on Highway ID at about 10:50 p.m.

Crews said the home was fully engulfed when they arrived. They said the cause of the fire is undetermined and damage estimates are not yet known.

Nobody was injured during the fire, officials said.

The fire was reported by a passerby. In addition to the Dane County Sheriff's Office, Mt. Horeb Fire and EMS, Verona Fire, Barneveld Fire and Black Earth Fire responded to the call.
